Thirteen Andrew Goodman Campuses Named On 2022 ALL IN Awards

ALL IN Awards Day honors participating campuses for nonpartisan student voter engagement in the 2022 Midterm Elections, showing what’s possible for student turnout in November

Earlier this month, the ALL IN Campus Democracy Challenge (ALL IN) celebrated ALL IN Awards Day, recognizing more than 520 campuses for nonpartisan democratic engagement efforts that fostered high levels of student voter registration and turnout in the 2022 Midterm Elections. The awards are determined based on data from the National Study of Learning, Voting, and Engagement (NSLVE), released in August 2024, out of Tufts University. According to NSLVE, colleges and universities had the second-highest turnout in a midterm election since data became available.

Thirteen Andrew Goodman Campuses received ALL IN Awards. The Andrew Goodman Campuses are receiving national recognition for their nonpartisan civic and voter engagement efforts to register, educate, and turn out their peers for the 2022 Midterm Elections and ensure equitable access to the ballot box.

“We are incredibly proud of the 13 Andrew Goodman Campuses that have been honored with an ALL IN Award,” says Caroline Smith, Director of Programs at The Andrew Goodman Foundation. “These students embody Andrew Goodman’s legacy through their daily dedication to advancing a more just and equitable democracy. Their tireless efforts to engage their peers in civic participation and voter engagement are truly inspiring, and it’s so rewarding to see their hard work and commitment recognized on a national stage.”

Of the Andrew Goodman Campuses on the list, two Historically Black Colleges or Universities (Elizabeth City State University and North Carolina A&T State University) received an award for the Highest Voter Registration Rate, and one for Best Top Voter Turnout (Spelman College). These three teams represent the diversity of Ambassadors and Campuses within the Andrew Goodman Vote Everywhere program who are organizing and mobilizing their peers to create a more inclusive and representative democracy.
