Sumer Tariq is a third-year honors undergraduate student at the University of Utah studying Health, Society and Policy, Philosophy, and Sociology with minors in Disability Studies and Applied Bioethics. She is passionate about medical law and ethics, with an emphasis in Disability, and hopes to pursue Disability law in the future.

Across roles in behavioral health, adapted physical activity, tutoring, legislative work, and feminist media, Sumer has learned how policy decisions, social norms, and institutional structures translate into real consequences for people’s bodies, autonomy, and dignity. She is especially interested in questions of disability justice, health equity, and ethical governance.

Violet is a second year political science student and member of the Honors College at the University of Utah. She is also pursuing a double minor in economics and environmental and sustainability studies. Currently, Violet is a constituent liaison intern with the Salt Lake City Council and hopes to attend law school after graduation. She decided to get involved with the Andrew Goodman Foundation because she is passionate about civic education and engagement.
