The Andrew Goodman Foundation Commits To Empowering Voters Nationwide In 2024 With National Voter Education Week
Andrew Goodman Ambassadors are hosting civic engagement events nationwide from October 7th to October 11th
The Andrew Goodman Foundation announced today its continued dedication to voter education and empowerment by participating in National Voter Education Week (NVEW) 2024. This annual, week-long celebration, now in its fifth year, aims to equip voters across the nation with the necessary tools, information, and confidence to exercise their right to vote effectively. NVEW 2024 will be held from October 7th to October 11th, 2024.
Since its inception in 2020, NVEW has served as a cornerstone of nonpartisan efforts to bolster democratic participation. By providing essential resources and fostering community engagement, NVEW has empowered countless individuals to make informed decisions at the ballot box.
Navigating an evolving electoral landscape is crucial, especially amidst changing voting laws and policies. Through NVEW, The Andrew Goodman Foundation aims to address these challenges by helping communities understand their rights and responsibilities as voters.
“Recognizing the organizing power held by NVEW, our Andrew Goodman Ambassadors are hosting events on October 7-11 to further engage their campus communities to ensure young people have all they need to make their voices and votes heard,” says Caroline Smith, The Andrew Goodman Foundation’s Director of Programs. “During this important election year, our hope is to reach as many voters as possible.”
As trusted messengers within their communities, partners like The Andrew Goodman Foundation play a pivotal role in encouraging voter participation. By disseminating reliable election information and emphasizing the significance of local engagement, NVEW partners can inspire individuals to make their voices heard at every level of government.
The Andrew Goodman Foundation serves on the NVEW Steering Committee and invites all interested parties to register as partners for NVEW 2024 and the other three Civic Holidays: National Voter Registration Day, Vote Early Day, and Election Hero Day.
“This Fall, voters everywhere have a chance to make their voices heard at the ballot box,” said Eddy Zerbe, Deputy Director of the SLSV Coalition, managing partner of NVEW and the largest nonpartisan network in the country dedicated to growing the college student vote. “Thanks to its amazing partners, NVEW is helping voters throughout the country navigate the democratic process with confidence, armed with easy-to-use resources and trusted nonpartisan information.”
As part of NVEW 2024, Andrew Goodman Campus Teams, housed on 66 campuses in 25 states and Washington, D.C., will host civic engagement events during National Voter Education Week to help inform, register, and engage with young voters.
