Fall 2025 Roundup: Andrew Goodman Vote Everywhere’s Semester Highlights

As the leaves changed and campuses came alive this fall, Andrew Goodman Vote Everywhere Ambassadors hit the ground running with energy, creativity, and real impact. Across 66 campuses in 25 states and Washington, D.C., student leaders transformed civic engagement from a concept into action by engaging classmates, neighbors, and entire communities in democracy. We’re thrilled to share some of the inspiring ways Vote Everywhere Ambassadors brought voting and civic participation to life on their campuses and beyond.

Voter Registration
  • Campus Teams delivered over 100 class presentations to register and educate voters at St Lawrence University, Bowling Green State University, Pace University, Simpson College, Middle Tennessee State University, and Georgetown University, among others.
  • Ambassadors at the University of Pennsylvania saw the highest voter registration numbers ever on National Voter Registration Day, even more than in last year’s Presidential Election.
  • Campus Teams incorporated voter registration into orientation, move-in day, and academic platforms like Canvas and Blackboard at Western Carolina University, Stony Brook University, and Iowa State University, among others.

Voter and Civic Education
  • Ambassadors at Texas Southern University hosted an event called “Suited N’ Booted,” engaging young men in the voting process by educating them on candidates and the importance of civic participation, while adding in a professional development component where attendees learned how to properly tie a tie.
  • Ambassadors invested in the next generation of voters: North Carolina A&T State reached out to local high schools to do voter registration and education, Ramapo did a “trunk or treat” with elementary students, who practiced voting between two candies, and Tufts University’s “JumboVote” hosted programming for high school students in conjunction with their local city councils.
  • Campus Teams at North Carolina A&T State University, Tuskegee University, Western Carolina University, University of South Carolina-Upstate and Allegheny College hosted or attended candidate forums that gave students and community members a chance to meet candidates for local office and ask them questions.

Get Out The Vote (GOTV)
  • Ambassadors at North Carolina A&T State University, Tuskegee University, Texas Woman’s University, and Texas Southern University organized marches to the polls for their local elections.
  • The Campus Team at Allegheny College provided shuttles to get students from campus to their off-campus polling site in town. Almost 40 students rode the shuttle to vote!
  • Bard College facilitated 200-250 student voters at their on-campus polling site – an impressive 50% turnout rate among students registered on campus

Youth Voting Advocacy
  • Ambassadors at Western Carolina University and North Carolina A&T State University attended local Board of Election meetings to advocate for early on-campus polling sites for the 2026 Midterm primaries. Unfortunately, both local Boards of Elections voted against the polling sites, so the decision will now go to the North Carolina State Board of Elections.
  • Ambassadors at Spelman College hosted an event called Letters for Leadership, where students wrote and sent letters to their representatives about what issues they care about and what they want to see in their next terms.
  • Ambassadors at the University of Alabama hosted an event with Return My Vote, a local organization dedicated to restoring voting rights for Alabamians with past felony convictions.
