Do I need voter ID?
All South Carolina voters must show ID. If you do not have a valid photo ID, you can obtain a free photo ID at your local county elections and voter registration office.
Are student IDs accepted?
No.
Are IDs issued by other states accepted?
No.
Does the ID need to display my current registration address?
No. Your ID does not need to display your current registration address.
Acceptable IDs Include:
- South Carolina Driver’s License or Nondriver ID
- U.S. Passport or Military ID
- Voter Registration ID Card issued by your local county elections and voter registration office.
